You can peer into the darkest part
Of humanity’s hideous heart
To the brimming of the inky void
As injustice and chaos destroy you
Face not the faceless enemy
This is not your story
Look to the light love’s labours leave
His unchanging glory
You can at to the calamity
To the viciously clamouring noise
Or you can choose to be something else
To be hopeful, a heavenly voice
Live not to cure the planet’s pain
It’s too great a burden
Seek first the kingdom, call his name
Keep your watch and pray
